About Summit 7 Marketing
We understand business mechanics & design
We didn't start Summit 7 Marketing to build another standard creative agency. We started it because we saw a massive gap in the South African market: businesses were forced to choose between creative agencies that didn’t understand business mechanics, or technical companies that lacked design intuition. We built the bridge between the two.
Absolute Discipline, Planning & Execution
In mountain climbing, the "Seven Summits" represent the highest peaks on each of the seven continents. Reaching them requires absolute discipline, meticulous planning, and an unwavering commitment to the fundamentals of survival and execution. We brought that exact operational philosophy into the digital space. Marketing isn't about throwing random ideas at a wall and hoping something sticks. It is a structured, intentional ascent. At Summit 7 Marketing, we help established South African businesses clear away the noise, navigate the complex digital terrain, and reach their growth targets through sustainable, fundamental marketing principles.
Our Team: The Specialists Behind the Systems
We don’t employ generic multitaskers or hide behind layers of corporate account managers. Instead, we have built a lean, highly disciplined team of dedicated specialists across web engineering, brand design, and performance marketing. When you partner with Summit 7 Marketing, you get direct access to the tactical experts who are actively building, securing, and optimizing your digital revenue engines. No telephone games, no agency fluff: just efficient, highly collaborative execution focused on your business growth.
Boutique Agility. Enterprise Stability.
Summit 7 Marketing is a proud division of the Preferred Solutions Group, a leading corporate ecosystem trusted by hundreds of businesses across South Africa. This partnership completely redefines how we serve our clients. While our marketing team operates with the speed, creative edge, and personal dedication of a boutique studio, our back-end infrastructure is anchored by deep corporate strength, strict quality controls, and robust technical stability. When you partner with us, you aren't hiring isolated freelancers or a high-risk agency. You are partnering with an established, multi-company corporate group dedicated to your operational success.

What is in the Name?

Meeting
It can also mean a high-level meeting between leaders or officials, often from different countries, to discuss important issues. For example, "The climate summit brought together leaders from around the world."
Achievement

Leon Steyn
Born and raised in a small town in the Northern Cape, Leon has always been a big dreamer with a passion for various art forms, which he honed even during his school years. A colourful character, Leon’s interests range from going on safari to enjoy the peace and quiet of the bushveld, to constantly developing new skills to stay ahead of the latest marketing and design trends.
After completing school, Leon immersed himself in the world of marketing, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communication at the University of the Free State. He furthered his education with professional diplomas in Graphic Design and Fine Art.
Leon’s early career saw him exploring various professions, including Personal Training, floristry (where he achieved an International Certificate in Events Floristry), and Events Management. He eventually found his calling in the formal marketing industry, serving as a marketing executive for one of the world’s largest travel corporations. It was here that Leon truly began to apply his marketing skills to great effect, with a standout talent for the written word.
In 2015, Leon joined the Preferred Solutions Group, where he took charge of all marketing activities, including website development and digital marketing. In 2017, he co-founded Mzansi Experience, a sister company specializing in safari packages in Southern Africa.
Recognising the growing need to service more clients for marketing and website development, Summit 7 Marketing was established in 2023 as a new company within the group, with Leon leading the creative and operational aspects of the business.
“I have always been a firm believer in leading by example. As I have learned from my mentors who lead by example, I strive to do the same. I had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in business. By investing in my employees, I do not only secure a firm foundation for this business, but also continued excellence delivered to our clients.”
Johan Marais
Growing up close to Cape Town, Johan has displayed a natural entrepreneurial talent from a young age. He was regularly busy with new ideas or self-made products to sell. After school, Johan owned a Home Industry Shop selling baked good and various sculpture for home décor.
He started his studies in Graphic Design, later continuing with a Business Management Diploma at Fulham College in London, England.
It was with his firm interest in marketing and design, and natural ability for strategic business thinking that Johan joined the Preferred Solutions Group in 2012. He swiftly established himself as a sales maestro in the business by implementing innovative sales processes and strategies, leading his sales team to great success.
In 2017, Johan was promoted to National Sales Manager for the group. In the same year, he co-founded Mzansi Experience, our sister company focused on safari packages in Southern Africa.
It was his keen eye for business opportunity that lead to the establishment of Summit 7 Marketing in 2023, strategically changing it from internal marketing department serving the Preferred Solutions Group of companies to a full-fledged marketing agency also serving outside clients.
“Every problem has a solution, and you have the opportunity to learn and grow from the experience.”
